About

Record it when it happens.

Input Ledger began with a simple observation: the things that matter most are often the hardest to reconstruct afterwards.

Where it started

Most of us rely on memory for things that deserve better. A conversation with a doctor. A decision made at work. Something a child said that you wanted to remember. A problem with a contractor. A pattern in your health you couldn't quite articulate.

Memory is unreliable. Notes get lost. Emails are buried. And when something matters — really matters — you often find yourself wishing you'd written it down at the time.

Input Ledger was built to fix that. Not with a complicated system. Not with a project management tool or a note-taking app that requires you to organise everything perfectly. Just a simple, private record — timestamped when you make it, searchable when you need it, exportable when it counts.

What we believe

Records should be made at the time.

A record made later is a reconstruction. A record made at the time is evidence. Input Ledger is built around the moment of recording — not the moment of remembering.

Privacy is not a feature. It's a foundation.

What you record in Input Ledger is yours. We don't analyse it, share it, or use it for advertising. A private record is only useful if it stays private.

Simplicity is a form of respect.

We don't make you build a system before you can start recording. Open the app. Write what happened. That's it. The structure is there when you need it — not in the way when you don't.

Your data belongs to you.

Export everything, at any time, in a format you can use. Input Ledger should never be the only place your records exist.

Input Ledger is for anyone who has ever wished they'd written something down at the time.
